West Green area guide
West Green is the older part of Crawley, being formed in 1949, although there are properties dating back to the 16th century. It is home to Crawley Hospital, Crawley Leisure Park and West Green Park and has a mix of Victorian and modern housing.
It is regarded as a popular neighbourhood amongst buyers and tenants due to its proximity to Crawley town centre. The population of approximately 4,400 also make it one of the less populated neighborhoods in Crawley. Residents are multi-cultural and vary in age ranges.
In a community survey the satisfaction of residents of West Green as a place to live was the highest in Crawley, however it didn't do so well on cleanliness - probably due to its proximity to the town centre.
Properties in West Green sell and let very quickly. An average 3 bedroom terraced house would let for around £1,250 PCM and would sell for around £310,000.
